Delhi Police denied allegations of pellet gun usage during the confrontation and maintained that security measures were taken to control the situation. Authorities also imposed internet restrictions amid rising tensions surrounding the demonstrations.
Meanwhile, Wangchuk continued his fast from the hospital, offering to end the protest action if assurances were provided that no legal cases would be filed against students and that the matter would be debated in Parliament. However, the Cockroach Janta Party rejected the proposal and continued to press for its complete set of demands.
The protest movement has received support from opposition leaders and several celebrities, increasing public attention around the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak issue. The ongoing demonstrations have become a major challenge for authorities, with students continuing their demand for justice, transparency, and accountability in the examination system.
